See Ya 2011 I will never look back. HELLO 2012

There has been so much that has happened this year.  1st my best friend Renee had a luncheon for me to raise money for Disney in January,  Then we were off and took the girls to Florida to Disney World.  We had so much fun and it was very tiring but sooooo worth it!  Got to go on a field trip with Emma of course it had to be all about bugs and snakes!!  Dominique did great at Tennis. (Go Kickapoo).  The Joplin tornado hit us all hard.  It was amazing how everyone came together to help each other.  I am so proud to call Joplin my home town. We got to go to Cozumel again with my girls and my parents.  I am so THANKFUL for the best parents ever.  We me some great people and made friends for life.  Got to see all my family at my parents this summer and the girls all got to play together!!  FUN TIMES  School started back up and Dominique had fun going to HOMECOMING with girlfriends. I was the star of hope for the American Cancer Society Cattle Barons Ball.  Had a ball on Halloween at Tom and Janice's.  Got to go to Vegas with my sweet love!!  Thanks Steve for a wonderful 4 days!  Enjoyed Thanksgiving with my parents and my girls.  Had a great Christmas with family!!!  On another note I fought stage 4 cancer and beat it not only once but two times!!!!  Had some big family changes but knowing God is in control got me through it.  Thank you for all your prayers and support in 2011.  Lets go forward with 2012 and don't look back!!!!  Here's to family, friends, faith, and LOVE!!!!

Test came back great!!!!  Cancer FREE  I did ask them to send the test to Mayo for them to look at.  If you dont know yet my daddy is great too!  Christmas will be fun this year no one sick.  Thank you to everyone!  MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY 2012

The waiting game!!

Got dads results back and God is good he does not have cancer.  I NEVER want anyone I love to go through what I have been through.  I had a PE scan yesterday and we are waiting for the results.  The CT scan showed a 8mm spot on my pancreas and we are hoping that it is just scar tissue.  Thank you for all the prays!!!

Here we go again

CA19-9 test came back a 173.  I go in for a PET scan on the 19th and then we will figure out the next step.  CT scan showed a 8mm mass so after this next test it will show if it is scar tissue or a tumor.  Please keep praying.  Going today to meet my dads Dr and to get his results back.  Pray for him too.  Love everyone

New Week

What a week before me!  I went to the Dr today to do a CT scan.   I have been having pains in my lower stomach and also in my back and side so I thought they could just scan the lower part of my body but they couldn't so I will  be going back soon to have a PET scan.  I meet with the Dr on Thursday and also have blood work that needs to be done that day.  My dad went to the Dr last week for a colonoscopy and had a few pulps remover.  The Dr said that he could be a Lynch gene carriers and tested him and also suggested that all of us kids get tested so I will do that on Thursday.  We haven't gotten his results back but I am believing that they will come back good.  We need a year of no drama.  2011 needs to be in the past and 2012 a new start.  Thank you so much for the continuing prayers and please keep my father in your prayers too.

Week after

It has almost been a week since my last treatment and what a week it has been.  I guess it is normal to be so tired after radiation but I have had a head ache and so sick to my stomach.  I hope next week will be better.  I am very thankful that it is over and I am past that.  I go back to the Dr. on the December 8th but on the 5th I get another Pet and Ct scan but until then I will be staying as far away from that part of town that I can!!!!!  Again that you for all your prayers and support!!!!!  CANCER KNOCKED BUT GOD ANSWERED!!  If you would like a copy of our book text me  417-385-3091 facebook me or email me  helplisafight

Ring the BELL

Rang the bell today and went to eat with mom and dad!!!  Thank you God for getting me through the past 6 weeks and thank you to mom and dad for being with me everyday!!

29 down 1 to go

Tomorrow is the last radiation treatment!  It has been a long hard 6 weeks!  I am so glad it is almost over.  I am ready to get rested up and to get myself back without the cancer drama.  Tired of going to the Dr's and having to be testes every week.  Tomorrow will be a wonderful day!! Thank you for all the prayers. 

Faithful

Have had a long week already.  Yesterday went to have a PET scan and CT scan on top of radiation and chemo and I was worn out.  I got results today and the spot that they were working on is gone!  I still have 13 days of chemo and radiation left but knowing that it is working and that the test results that I got given to me last week were straight from the devil.  The Dr isn't going to do any more test for about 5 to 6 week to let my body rest.  Thanks again for all the support and prayers!!  God is FAITHFUL!!!!!!

CA 19-9 Test

Got the test results back today and they are at 602!  It is high so we have to meet with the Dr.s on Monday!  It could be a little high because of the  radiation I don't know yet.  Keep me in your prayers!  I am ready to not worry about CANCER any more!!!

Week 3

This week so far has gone a lot better then the past 2!  I am feeling better but still on a lot of medication.  My stomach has been hurting but the Dr said that it is from the radiation.  I am still taking 6 chemo pills a day and radiation.  By Friday I am worn out.  Just pray that the next 4 weeks of treatment get better and better!  I should get my CA 19-9 test results back today.  Dr. Raju said that they could come back to be a little high just because of the treatment.  If they are in the 1000's then we will go back into do a CT and PET scan!  I am praying that they will be under 300.  Thank you again for all your prayers and support.  I have amazing friends and my family is one of a kind!  LOVE EVERYONE

Week 2 almost behind me!!!

I go today for the last treatment for the week!!  Wow this week was different from last week!  Maybe next week will be better!  I go to the Dr on Monday to get my cancer count taken so I am praying that it will be down and I wont have to do this for 5 more weeks!!!!  Just keep praying for me and my family!!  Thanks to everyone!!  LOVE YOU ALL

1 down 34 to go

I didn't think radiation and chemo would be so bad but I have been so sick to my stomach from the chemo and the radiation burned!  The Dr said that the cancer cell is so small which is good news I just had forgotten how sick this makes me!  I have great support from my family so I am just taking one day at a time.  1 day down 34 to go!!!  Heading back to the Dr for radiation treatment #2!!!

Getting ready for Monday!!!

It was not easy but we got the chemo drug filled that I have to take with radiation!  If I had a lot of money i would help those who cant afford the treatment that they need to get!  It is scary!!!!  I am so blessed to have Gods favor.  My mother went to the hospital on the 7th floor as saw the nurses that took care of me and took some of her books!!  I miss them all but very glad that I don't have to spend the fall and winter there!!  They told my mom that the drug I am going to take is not fun so I guess I will just get ready to fight for a couple more months!!  Go Fight Win!!!!

I will FIGHT!!

Met with the Dr. yesterday and I will be starting radiation and oral chemo on the 12th.  I have to go everyday Monday thru Friday for at least 7 weeks.  I don't think the radiation will be too bad not to excited to take 6 chemo pills a day but at least I get to sleep in my own bed every night and be with my family!  The Dr. seems to be positive and thinks that this will get the job done!!  It will be a long week getting everything in order.  Thanks for all your prayers and support!!!  I will keep you posted!

Part Two

Went to see Dr. Raju today and there is a 5mm spot that is cancer so I am meeting with another Dr tomorrow to talk about radiation!  They want me to do radiation every day and take oral chemo!  We will know more tomorrow and when it will all start!  I know it is not like last year and I can and will beat this!!  Please keep praying and know that I will NEVER stop fighting!!!!  Love to everyone!!!

I got a call from my Dr. today and my CA 19-9 test came back at 193 so they want me to do another chemo treatment!!!  I will know soon what the plan is but keep praying!!!!

Faith Hope and Love

Wow it has been a year since the Dr. found the cancer!  The nightmare began!  Thank you to all my family and friends for fighting this fight with me.  I am still cancer free and will continue to get tested every month!  The Cattle Barons Ball in next weekend and I have been asked to share a little of my story!  Very excited! 

GOD is GOOD

Dr. Grothey from Mayo in Rochester called today and said that he did take a look at the scans and with his best scrutiny he did not see any signs of cancer and that there is NO indication to re-start any chemotherapy at this time. He does believe that the Ca 19-9 could raise a flag and that it does need to be monitored.  Praise the Lord!  Thank you to everyone who has been praying for me!  Love you all

New Test Results

I had a PET scan and a CT scan and they both came back clear!  My Dr sent the results to my Dr at Mayo to review.  Maybe he can figure out why my levels are going up!  It could be stress so I am destressing starting to work out some and focus on feeling as good as I can!  Every day is a new day and I have to make it the best I can!  Thank you again for all the prayers!!

Testing

My C A19 9 test came back higher it is  now a 51 so I go in tomorrow for anther CT and PET scan!!  Pray it is just stress causing this!!!  I know God has not brought me this far for it to come back.  I have fought once and I will continue to keep fighting for as long as it takes!!!  Love all of you! xxoo

Victory Trip to Cozumel 2011

My parents, children, and myself left on June 1st for a week of fun, sun, and relaxation!!  We had so much fun!  Played in the ocean everyday, ate great food, and even took Dominique on her fist snorkel dive!!! 

Got my CA 19-9 test results and they have gone up a little now it is at 31!  I will get retested on July 5th and if it continues to go up then we will address it then!!!! Keep praying.

God is GREAT

Went to the Dr today and still NO CANCER!!!!!  CT and PET Scan came back clear!!!  I have to go back every 6 weeks to have my port flushed and then CT and PET scan in 3 months!!!  Thank you again for all your prayers.  If you would like to read a article about my fight go to SBJ.net and type in my name!!!  LOVE TO EVERYONE.  Please pray for Joplin

Tests

Having a CAT and PET scan done on Wed. This will be a long day.  Have to start drinking water at 7:30 am and then off to the hospital.  It all should be done by 1 I hope.  Mixed feelings about this.  I know it has to be done just to make sure everything is OK but I am sooooooooo sick of being stuck with needles!!!  Please pray that all will be good.  We wont have results until the 24th!!  On a good note 15 days until we leave for MEXICO!!  Thank you for all your prayers and love.

NORMAL

I went t the Dr yesterday to have some blood work done and I asked for the cancer marker blood test to be done and the nurse came out and said that my insurance would only cover one a month and since I had it done to weeks ago and it came back normal I would have to wait for two more weeks!!  I guess I have to start realizing that I am NORMAL!!!!!!!!  I am so blessed and excited for my new life!!!  Mexico her we come in 42 days!!!

CA19-9 Test

Got the results of my test today and it is a 14!! It continues to go down even without chemo!!!  I no longer have to do the Enoxaparin Sodium shots because the Warfarin is working!!!  No more chemo and no more shots!  Life is getting better.  I have to go back on Mondays for a while for blood work just so they can keep an eye on me!!  Thanks again for the prayers and all the love!!!!

No more chemo!!

I didn't have to go in for chemo yesterday!!!  What a blessing.  I do go to the Dr. on Thursday to set a plan up!  I hope I will be able to share the same chemo treatment I got with others who need it!  My mother is writing a book about this whole journey!  I will let everyone know when finished!  Thanks again for all the prayers and all the support!!

Getting my strength

I have been out of the hospital now for a week and finally I am getting my strength back well a little!  I am going to start back at the gym next week just to walk so my legs don't feel like jello.  I sit here and think what has gone on over the past 7 months and without all my friends and family and all the prayers from all over the world well my faith too I wouldn't be sitting here typing this!  I do know what a true miracle I am!  I am very excited for what God has planned for me!  My mother and I will be writing a book soon so when it is complete I will let everyone know!!  God bless you all!  Thanks Renee my very best friend for all you do and for who you are!  I love you!!

TUESDAY, MARCH 1

GREAT NEWS!! THE RESULTS OF THE PET SCAN SHOWED "CONDITION NORMAL WITH NO EVIDENCE OF ACTIVE DISEASE".  THE CT SCAN SHOWED A SMALL SPOT WHICH THEY THINK IS NOTHING MORE THEN SCAR TISSUE!  PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!  THE NURSE WAS CRYING WHEN SHE HANDED THE RESULTS TO LISA.  EVERYONE IS AMAZED AT THE MIRACLE THAT GOD IS WORKING IN LISA.
